I started doing a portfolio for an application at an university for restauration and conservation of art objects i have in febuary.
In the end it should contain about 20 drawings, mostly still life.
There are 4 different branches at this specific university:
>paintings
>objects
>stone
>textiles
At this time I think I´ll go with stone, but it´s not quite sure yet.
This portfolio unfortunately is not the only thing I will have to do to get into the university.
There will be a 3 day long exam, testing my knowlege of art history, my drawing and forming skills and so on.
And there lies the problem --> Currently I´m studding at a chemistry school, sooo I don´t have any idea of art history whatsoever and the last time i did something with clay was about 5 years ago.
I have only about 5 weeks to acquire all these skills, and I really hope I´ll get at that point in time.
Every year, they have about 50 applicants, therefore 50 portfolios. They choose 20 of them, who will be allowed to do the exam. And only 10 of these 20 people will be allowed to study at the university. so practically I have to be 1 out of 5 people. =/
So I am very thankfull for any kind of tip or something that could bring me closer to my goal of getting into this university =3
